WHO ARE WE?

Ares Films was created in 1991. From its very start, the company has been involved in the production and distribution of child oriented programs. The production, in association with Hearst Entertainment (USA) and  Astral (Canada) and the success of Quasimodo, a 26 by 26’ animated series in 1994 for France 3, was a decisive stepping stone for the company.

Then came several international productions, such as Tristan & Isold, Little Red Riding Hood... all of which demonstrated  Ares Films’ knowhow in producing child oriented programs of  international quality.

Thanks to this recognition,  Ares Films has continued with  a string of Hits, managing the European or French Speaking rights to such well known and prestigious series as: Pokémon, TMNT Ninja  Turtles, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Kamen Rider, Zoids, Schin chan,  Chaotic as well as  Dinosaur King. Ares Films has also been working with  the Rights Holders of these  successful series in  managing their dubbing with  French broadcasters and  also adapting their theme tunes and  music for commercial  distribution (Double Gold CD for Pokémon and  YuGiOh!)  as well as  localizing video games (Nintendo, Bandai, Konami, Giocci Preciosi, Tomy, Hasbro)

Moreover, Ares Films manages  the production and the distribution of numerous documentaries covering a wide array of topics, from social issues to arts and entertainment, not forgetting travel, nature and sports and  last but not least ,  a  documentary  on Michael Jackson, the King of Pop.

In the fiction category, the company has also produced Deadly Gorgeous as well as distributing Kamen Rider  , Critter Gitters and last but not least,  the famous Bonanza series.
